DB Audio T-Rex5.2C 230W 13cm 2-way component speaker system
Description
The DB Audio T-Rex 5.2C is a 13cm (5.25-inch) 2-way component car speaker system engineered in the UK. Built for car audio enthusiasts rather than amateurs, it features heavy-duty materials designed to handle high vibrations and drive clear, dynamic audio.
Key Specifications & Features
- Power Handling: Explodes with up to 250W Peak power and runs smoothly at 70W RMS power per speaker.
- Premium Driver Build: Utilises a high-tensile woven Kevlar cone for precise midrange response, paired with a Santoprene surround for high excursion and structural flexibility.
- Silk Dome Tweeters: Features 25mm silk dome tweeters that provide a smooth, crystal-clear top end, complete with a 360° directional swivel mount to let you dial in the perfect soundstage.
- Die-Cast Aluminium Chassis: Built on a tough, rigid basket designed for structural endurance and minimal distortion.
- Slim Installation: Offers an exceptionally shallow 41 mm mounting depth, making it a great option for tight door cards and custom factory upgrades.
Installation Advice
Because these speakers carry serious weight and push out massive vibrational energy, the manufacturer strongly recommends fabricating custom MDF baffles rather than using cheap plastic adaptor trims. MDF absorbs and distributes unwanted sound waves much more effectively, ensuring a rattle-free and distortion-free playback experience.
