VERY good player which with lampization makes top gear.The audio signal from the DAC is configured in SRPP mode circuit, based on two 6N3 tubes which is the equivalent of ECC85 and 2C51 or 5670. The filaments are supplied by 6,3V AC. 6Z4 uses as rectifier tube for high voltage supply.6N3 tubes which are currently in the valve output stage consists of can be replaced by a well-sounding 6N3PEV In the anode voltage filtration, there is 3 electrolytic capacitors,  plus 2 pcs PIO and one teflon capacitor which gives a natural and opened up by a big margin beautiful sounding of single details and high frequencies.MKP filem capacitors are used for signal paths. Symmetric layout is designed with matching impedances between two signal paths and minimum parasitic, so it provides high linearity, fast responses and low signal distortion. The famous DAC from Matsushita - similar to many great players like NAD, Kenwood 4090, etc. In this Technics player this DAC is used not without purpose. It is an excellent dac by any standard. It sounds so good, it is too good in fact. I feel stupid to tell you the truth because this crappy player is not supposed to be in ther top league of Burr Brown machines and so on. But it is. After lampization - it gives many players famous highenders a run for their money. I am not able to criticize one single aspect of the Technics sound - I like it all the way.Technics is an excellent player, visually really OK, ergonomically perfect, reading everything without problems and after lampization - sounding like everybody get out. I seriously recommend it to everyone.The sound is rich, full of details, vocals are natural, bass is dynamic, space is wide and deep, it is easily category one. The front panel ergonomics is one of the best in the world.  My benchmark. All functions are intuitive, easy, even after a couple of wines and in the dark - you can operate everything VERY EASY.Add a fact that the mechanism is smooth and reads everything, the player is almost perfect technically.An additional advantage of MASH DAC is that the "old" audio output remains active. This means that the signal from the vacuum tube and the signal from the DAC by the original OPAMP is a choice of outputs on the back of the player.
