Meicord Opal Audiophile Ethernet Cables For Computer Audio 20 Metres

Euro Mains Cables Presents:-Meicord Opal Ethernet Cables Audiophile Quality Patch CordsAvailable from 0.5Mtr - 20 Mtr

This is the 20 metre length

If you are running a NAS based music server opinions are varied as to whether the sound quality is better using wireless or wired between your router and hard drive.

The main problem with wireless is drop outs where you listen to your favourite track and the music stops un-expectedly which is very annoying, with a wired connection this will never happen.

We sell Meicord network/ethernet/patch cables as they are known, you may scoff at a so called audiophile grade ethernet cable but it is quite a special wire,

listen to it and hear the quality it provides, here are some reviews from customers who use the Meicord cables:-

(STEREO 12/2008 short test "LAN cable, network cable can sound like?")?

... The sound differences were surprisingly clear.

.... In fact, the dark blue MeiCord unshielded cable still played a good bit more natural, more homogeneous and

spatial reference as the cable from XXX, and more breath in men's voices ....?

promised, you can hear even with the first note.

M. Heine, Frankfurt?

My combo of Squeezebox and Musical Fidelity V-DAC makes it more fun than my much acclaimed Marantz CD player. And with MP3s ...

"You have a winner": The Opal works as promised, you can hear even with the first note.

Larger stage (all one step back), juicier bass, nice highs (most important for me).

My combo of Squeezebox and Musical Fidelity V-DAC makes it more fun than my much acclaimed Marantz CD player. And with MP3s ...

F. Harbeck, Hambu?

I run the cable to connect a SACD drive with a separate DAC.

About the sword by the device manufacturer supplied cable draws the contours sharper opal and the spatial representation seems to be more realistic.

This is about my impression in the middle and high frequencies. Altogether quite an audible improvement in the sense of a natural, live-like playback.

With a second digital output of the drive I have connected the converter via an RCA cable (RCA).

This is a very high quality hi-fi cable. This shows then clearly the superiority of the aural hi-fi cable, particularly with regard to tone.

So if I do not hear CD's SACD's but I always turn on the output of hi-fi cable.

In fairness must be said, however, that both cables are not comparable in price to some extent and that the opal a premium price for his "job" makes.

…“What can I say, I`m (nearly) speechless….That a LAN-cable can create such an enhancement of sound is really astonishing.

The improvements are in evidence in all areas, but especially with voices (more natural). Auditory spaciousness and resolution / separation of instruments are revealed.

As a last link the MeiCord opal is a „must-have“ for perfect sound and absolutely recommendable. Thank you very much!“… J. Nachbaur, Feldkirch, Austria

I have used the meicord direct to a squeezebox touch connected direct to an amp with no off board dac so any difference / improvements will have to be due

directly to the meicord. The s'box does not sound bad from the off but I most noted an enclosed sound stage. The actual improvement I was looking for was an

improved sound stage and that is exactly what I have now got together with a fuller tonal quality. The meichord is excellent value.? Peter D. 15.08.11

After 10 days of use I can state Meicord is a real improvement in my system. It works despite the long run (17.5 meters).Thanks...DR. Alfonso...10.08.11
