QUAD 33 303 Pre/Power AmpSuperb Condition and Sound Classic Vintage Hi-FiThey have just received a Full Service from a Quad approved ex-Radford Hi-Fi Service Engineer and are now performing in tip-top condition.If you are reading this far you probably don't need me to tell you much about the performance potential of this combination. However you will no doubt be interested in a detailed description of the condition of these samples. (Lots of close-up photos below)The casings on both units are in tip-top condition with hardly a mark on them. The only exception is that one of the rear fins on the Power Amp is very slightly bent.The numbers and lettering on both units show virtually no sign of wear.The paintwork around the Volume Control is clean and again shows no obvious sign of wear. This is something that is usually a common issue with Quads that have had heavy use.The push button switches all operate well. A common mistake that people make is to spray switch cleaner into them from the front. The chemicals from the cleaner affects the plastic causing it to swell and/or crack. This makes them prone to either popping off or rubbing on the chassis. These buttons show no signs of this common problem. The capacitors inside both the pre-amp and power-amp all deteriorate over time resulting in a significant drop in performance. More importantly they can leak causing damage to the printed circuit boards and other components.  These have all been tested and every one that measured below par was replaced as part of the full service. Luckily none of them have caused damage by leaking. In short what you have here is a very fine example of the Quad combination that look and sound superb and should offer many more years of excellent service.They will be supplied with all the relevant leadsPayment and shipping information:Can be collected (cash on collection would be preferred) or will ship Worldwide at cost price.
