With 6 HDMI inputs (one on the front panel - ideal for games consoles) you can easily connect all your devices and switch between them effortlessly. HD audio is also handled beautifully. Boasting 7 channels of 190watts you can output in full 7.1 channel surround sound or 5.1 with bi-amping of the front speakers or outputting to Front Height or Front Width speakers. With on-board decoding of DTS-HD Master Audio/High Resolution Audio, Dolby TrueHD and Dolby Digital Plus, DTS Neural surround and with THX Ultra 2 Plus and Air Studios certification, the SCLX83 delivers an exhilarating, immersive and precise audio experience. Pioneer's advanced PQLS multi-surround HDMI timing system is also supported, which eliminates jitter and its resulting distortion and delivers a stable and clear sound from PQLS-enabled sources such as the BDP-LX52 and BDP-LX91 Blu-ray Players. As well as being an excellent home cinema receiver the SC-LX83 is also a networking media hub. A direct digital iPod connection can be made to the front panel USB socket- no dock required. Plus, the LX83 will play music and photo files from USB memory sticks, portable MP3 players and networked devices such as DLNA compatible computers or network attached storage systems. Play the music stored on the computer in your bedroom on the speakers in the living room or browse your photo collection from the comfort of your sofa. Plus, if you have a broadband Internet connection, you can use the SC-LX83 to receive Internet radio stations. The SC-LX83 comes with an AS-BT100 Bluetooth adaptor for streaming media from devices such as mobile phones. If you own an Apple iPod or iPhone you can download the iControlAV app to use them to control your SCLX83.
