About us

We are a family business, trading from our retail shop in the centre of High Wycombe for the last 8 years and run our eBay trade alongside that, thereby providing a stable and longevous business model.  To date, through our various trading accounts we have sold thousands of items and amassed thousands of positive feedbacks. 

We use eBay to sell items which we think have a particular appeal to eBayers and do not consider them as retail sales, i.e. they generally sell at a lower price than in our shop, do not have the same warranty and are for delivery only; we do not offer a collection service except for large, expensive or delicate items.

Collection of eBay items is an inconvenience to our daily work routine and as such does not form part of our eBay offer - therefore collections are only by prior agreement and must form part of the bidding process (i.e. you can not bid then demand collection after the auction).   Due to the inconvenience factor we charge an administration fee on all collections and this must be agreed as part of the bidding process.  Where collection is agreed, the agreement is for you to collect not to come along to view, haggle, check and or test the goods.

 

Turnaround Please note that although our shop is open 7 days a week, the eBay division only operates Monday to Friday 9:00 to 5:30, please bear this in mind when anticipating replies and deliveries etc. The service we offer is guaranteed to post items within 5 working days, generally we aim to despatch goods same or next day.  Please advise if your item is urgent and please bear in mind that delivery services utilize an outsourced agent for whose service we have no control and can therefore bear no responsibility – therefore please be realistic in your expectations of the level of service we can provide. When sending internationally, unless the recepient pays for some form of tracking and insurance we will not include this. Proof of postage will be provided upon any item getting lost in the system. Buy it Now When we want to sell an item as a BIN we place the listing as a BIN. Delivery It is a condition of our offer that in line with generally accepted practice, our liability extends to placing the goods into the duty and care of our selected despatch agent. Once we have dispatched the goods the liability for loss or damage then falls upon the recipient. We will however provide help and assistance in any claim you may wish to enter into and, at our own discretion, may offer the help of our in-house legal division which may make the claim and or provide legal advice on your behalf should you so desire - this is a free service and is at our own discretion. Delivery prices contained within our listings are for mainland UK only.  Unfortunately, places such as the highlands and countries abroad will incur a higher charge - we will do our best to provide a quotation before close of bidding to any interested party. Collection Potential loss or damage to goods during despatch and savings in Postage can be made by collecting directly from our shop - there are five expressed conditions to collecting from our shop: 1. You must notify us in advance via eBay messaging that you wish to collect the item from our shop; 2. We must agree to this in writing - there is no automatic right or guarantee to this service and we reserve the right to refuse collection on certain items, especially small, low value items; 3. We must agree a time and date for collection as we are a busy shop and most items are not held on site as eBay is ran as a separate business; 4. We therefore consider collection to be an additional service which can be an inconvenience to our work flow.  Your patience and understanding will therefore be greatly appreciated when things go wrong or you are kept waiting in a queue etc. 5. Where postage and packaging is included in the price there will be no savings in costs, the price bided on is the price to be paid. Returns In general we do not offer a returns service, this does not affect your statutory rights. Many of the items we sell on eBay are secondhand items which, where possible, have been fully tested and found to be working except where notified in the listing.  Experience over our ten years trading history has shown us that we can not test all possible features and in buying secondhand there is a potential for failure. This is a natural consequence of buying and selling second hands goods.  If this happens to you item please do not take it personally, we have not knowingly tried to sell you faulty goods.  In these circumstances please contact us within 7 days of receipt of the goods and we will advise accordingly.  Should you remain unhappy with our service in any way then please write by way of letter outlining your problem and address it to the General Manager. Personal Cheques Personal Cheques are a major inconvenience and high risk to us, however, in order to provide a comprehensive service we will accept personal cheques but please note that they will take 10 clear working days to clear our system – please do not bid on any of our items if you intend to pay by personal cheque but are unwilling to allow a two week clearing period.
